Lesson 1 - 19:00-20:00 - 1 Student.
We spoke about sports days at school and what sports we chose to do on sports days. We then spoke about our interests, as neither of us are very sporty people. Our hobbies included knitting, which we both do, but I can't crochet like the student can. Other things we have tried between us were: sewing, cooking and baking, reading, writing and drawing.
We spoke about living in Otsu and if the student planned to keep living in Otsu or wanted to move away. I said that, since I moved to Trimley St Martin, I have always been near a large body of water, such as the sea, a river or, now, Lake Biwa. I cannot imagine living somewhere that is not near water. We then spoke about swimming in the sea and Lake Biwa, although I was told swimming might only be possible in the north part of Lake Biwa.

Lesson 2 - 20:00-21:00 - 3 Students.
We spoke about the recent supermoon and the total eclipse, which it seems everyone missed. I spoke about being interested as a child and watching a lunar eclipse alone with meteor showers and solar eclipses. We discussed the types of eclipse: full and partial. We then played a game of my own invention: the Agony Aunt Game. I will be constantly updating this game, so please come along to my classes if you want to see and try this game for yourself!
When we finished the game, we started talking about moving out to live on your own. I was told that people who live with their parents, without paying rent, are known as parasites in Japan. We discussed if paying rent to your parents was common or not. We then discussed what sort of house we would like to live in: either an old house that we then repair or a new house. We finished talking about commuting from our house to work and how long we were willing to commute for.
Vocab:
Meteor Shower
Partial Eclipse
Thank you all for coming out tonight, even though it is getting colder.
I hope to see you again soon.
